If you've found your way here through a route besides the game, the UFPG is a massive tutorial for the online simulation game www.Furry-Paws.com. The world of Furry Paws is much more complex than it appears at first glance. The combination of the ground-breaking ideas of the creator and the dedication and influence of its members make FP a truly unique game involving not only dog showing, but economics, mathematics, genetic biology, networking, social skills, time management, money management, and goal setting. However, this also makes it a bit more confusing than other games when you first begin, and finding your way in the FP-verse can be a challange.
The UFPG is here to help! There are many great tutorials on FP, but because of the sheer amount of them it can be difficult to get them all in order and figure out what you need to do first. This guide is intended to take the confusion out of not only starting out, but finding your way in the game, and is written for both new members and old.
I in no way consider myself an expert in all FP life. I've simply done a lot of research, a lot of trial and error, and a lot of playing. My very first, and possibly most important, piece of advice to all players is this: no one knows everything. Elite, non-elite, new player or old, there is always something to learn, and always something to improve. In the end, success is not about how much you have acheived in relation to others, but how much you have acheived in relation to yourself.

The UFPG is written under the assumption that you have already read the Official Furry Paws FAQs and taken the Interactive Tutorial. It will not re-explain the very basics of FP, so if you haven't done this yet I suggest doing it now. If something is mentioned within the context of this guide that you haven't heard of, try looking at the FAQs to see if it's been answered there.
The UFPG is also not intended to give you all the answers. No, this doesn't mean I'll leave stuff out just to mess with ya, but I will not tell you exactly what to feed a dog trained in showing, or what accessories to use for a racing dog. Instead, I'll teach you how to do it yourself.

Why do I do it this way? Because if I simply linked you to the FAQs, you wouldn't know where to find them yourself in the future. By giving you directions, you learn to navigate FP on your own.

The UFPG is organized in two different ways. You can either follow it as a step-by-step tutorial or choose a category to read. The step-by-step tutorial will guide you through the process of getting started on FP and what to do after that. The same information is contained in the version by categories, but is easier to navigate for someone who wants to look up a specific piece of information.
